A nice lazy morning - Rachel is still asleep even, and its almost 11am.
Jessa & Bree on the other hand were up before dawn.
Try getting them up for school that early, right?
We had plenty of fruit left from our road trip yesterday, so we made a breakfast of it. Our gracious host left some much appreciated hot chocolate. Peter and I struggled to figure out the coffee maker! But we managed.
The weather forecast for Monday has gone from "chance of rain" to "rain" to now "pouring rain", so we think we will ammend the schedule a bit. Maybe we will do Arlington this afternoon, then spend some time indoors tomorrow at the museums of the Smithsonian. That will leave the nicer days later in the week for paddle boats on the Tidal Basin.
I look out the kitchen window here - to the backyard - and see a beautiful pink tree all in bloom. I think I'm glad for tomorrow's forecast - I'm not sure I'd have waited to head into the city!
Its nice to think of you all here "with" us in this way! We'll have the kids post some stuff a little later - its them you'd really like to hear from!
